Pemberton Farms & Garden Center is a specialty grocery store with some nice bulk offerings located near Porter Square and Davis Square in Cambridge, MA. It’s a great place to shop for produce, bulk olive oil, coffee beans, vegan specialty foods and beer/wine. During the spring and summer months, they also have an outdoor garden center.
They’ve got a beautiful produce section with mostly package-free fruits and vegetables (including celery, lettuce and carrots).
Look at these beautiful package-free Brussels sprouts!
They have a few bulk liquids on tap including olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic oil. There are refillable glass containers that you can bring back for refills.
They sell local milk in returnable/refillable glass bottles.
They sell lots of different vegan foods, like this Miyoko’s Creamery vegan “cheese”.
There are lots of different pickled and fermented foods packaged in reusable glass jars.
Their personal hygiene section has castile soap, package-free bars of soap, essential oils and lotions packaged in tins.
There are a few organic cotton and chlorine-free feminine hygiene products.
They sell 100% recycled toilet paper rolls.
Pemberton Farms even carries natural hygiene products for your pets!
They offer local honey and maple syrup in glass containers.
There’s a section with bulk coffee beans and grinders nearby. They also have unbleached coffee filters around the corner.
Their juice aisle has many different juices in glass bottles.
Their spices are sold in glass jars.
There’s an extensive wine and beer selection. Most of the beverages are in glass/recyclable bottles or cans.
They have a little baked goods section with package-free bread and rolls.
Pemberton Farms also has a deli and hot foods section, although I’m not sure if they allow customers to bring in their own containers.
