Make & Mend is a new secondhand art and craft supply shop in Bow Market located in Union Square of Somerville. It has all sorts of supplies, materials and tools to choose from and will quickly become your go-to store for crafty items. Make & Mend also takes donations of supplies and materials, so check out the list of what they’re currently accepting on their website here.
There are a few shelves and baskets with beautiful yarns and partial skeins along one wall which are perfect for projects of all sizes whether you’re a knitter, crocheter or weaver. There are also knitting needles, crochet hooks and assorted tools. They have lots of different fabric scraps to choose from organized by color. These would be perfect for learning how to quilt or making a nice baby blanket.
There is a section dedicated to cards and snail mail supplies with some nice colored paper and envelopes.
Buttons, zippers and other notions are organized in these library card drawers.
Scissors and measuring tools are hung on the wall.
If you’re into painting, drawing or cross stitch, Make & Mend has you covered with pencils, paint, charcoal and cross stitch kits.
If you’re looking for some guidance to help you get started on your crafting journey, check out all of the great books they have to offer.
They’ve got rubber stamps, sketch books, project bags and so much more! Their inventory changes often, so be sure to visit frequently.
