There are four Boomerangs thrift store locations in the Boston area: Boston (South End), Cambridge (Central Square), Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury. Boomerangs accepts donations (see schedule) and offers free furniture pickup so that your sofa can have a second chance at life! You can feel good about donating to and buying from Boomerangs because all proceeds support AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts.
Jamaica Plain
The Jamaica Plain location is a larger store that has an amazing selection of home goods, furniture, books, DVDs and secondhand clothing. You could easily furnish an entire apartment just by shopping at this one store! Everything is nicely organized so you can quickly find what you’re looking for or simply peruse if you have more time.
This location has a rotating selection of furniture and area rugs, so if you’re looking for home furnishings this is a great place to stop. There are vintage/antique goods and more modern items to choose from.
There’s a section near the back that has basic appliances, lamps and fans.
